Site Inspection from a Risk Management Perspective

Are you looking at the right things? Although planners consider event sites from an availability, affordability, and spatial perspective, any potential event site must be viewed from a risk management perspective in order to assess its capabilities, constraints, and compliance, as well as reduce potential due diligence liability. This session examines site inspection criteria and strategies to ensure you can maximize a site’s strengths and opportunities and minimize its threats and vulnerabilities.

Learner Objectives

In this session, you will learn how to:

  • Determine appropriate site selection criteria for evaluating potential event sites

  • Discover an event site’s hazards and vulnerabilities in relation to the event’s audience and activities

  • Create a comprehensive risk management site inspection checklist

  • Conduct site inspections that show due diligence
